Actually, I think the Feds have done a reasonably good job in getting to the South with major equipment, and major groups of NG, and Military....
The hurricane was Monday, by Monday night, we thought the media might have been hyping too much.
By Tuesday morning, we woke to the news that the levees had been breeched and there were floods. As the day went on, by Tuesday evening, we nationally realized the extent of the flooding.
The President visited the area by Wed afternoon. And evidently had ordered several things earlier that weekend to happen.
Thursday was a tough day to watch. First Responders on their A$$, by in large. Looters, murders, shots attacking those people and helicopters that were there trying to rescue folks.
Friday, Federal help started to arrive in massive amounts.
Let me see. Mon Hurricane - power goes out that day Tues the floods from the levees Wed moving large numbers of people who were told to evac and didn't... Thurs ... Fri - Federal help arrives.....
How long do you think it takes to gather people (National Guard, etc) from their homes, get their equipment, and fly/drive to their destination...and then try to get into a flooded area where there is only part of one freeway open?????????
And, are you saying you don't think the Constitution separating the powers of the States and Government should have held?
You think the Feds should have just taken over, like Hitler and Stalin did? Or Castro....Or Saddam?
Wouldn't you have screamed bloody murder then?
Yes, I thought so. |
