That was a really lovely and well-written opinion piece by Anne Rice, tejek. Thanks very much for posting it here!

No problem. I sure it was heartfelt when she wrote it. I think she lived in New Orleans for a long time. And that brings up an interesting issue. So many people have spoken up on behalf of New Orleans and a number of them were former residents of the city, the operative word being 'former'. One has to wonder why so many who loved the city have left it in recent years.
