SAMSUNG ELEC, MOTOROLA INK FORMAL AGREEMENT TO SHARE PATENTS Monday September 5, 2005, 6:59 pm SEOUL, Sept 5 Asia Pulse - Samsung Electronics Co. (KSE:005930), the world's third-largest handset maker, said Monday it has signed an agreement with Motorola Inc. of the United States to share each other's patents on wireless communication technologies. On July 1, Samsung had said it signed a preliminary agreement with Motorola, the world's No. 2 handset maker, for cross licensing. Samsung didn't disclose the terms of its deal with Motorola such as when the agreement will expire, citing a confidentiality agreement with the U.S. firm.
