Bush goes around using God for political benefit. Politics and God do not mix. But he does so just like the Al Qaeda leaders who wage wars in the name of their religion. Bush exhorts his people (subliminal and sometimes blatant) that a "vote for him is a vote for God."

Now, I do not have any reservations in asking him why he thinks God turned against him and showered death and destruction on his own people?

It may take some understanding of other philosophies and cultures to appreciate this question. Seeing that you term this as superstition, I can safely conclude that you experiences are restricted to the narrow confines of American culture only.
