I believe those defending their partisan loyalties are missing a very important dynamic that is unfolding in America. The people of America are mad at politicians. . . not necessarily the political party by which they are loyal. We want answers from individuals. The reason we are mad about the FEMA director, is that in the private sector he NEVER would have been hired in the first place. He was wholly unqualified as the director of the United States of America's Federal Emergency Management Agency.

At best, Michael Brown was qualified as an assitant legal counsel for FEMA.

This is a bi-partisan event. Everyone is upset. And the manner in which critical appointments are made will most certainly be called into question and likely reformed. As I said before, the blue states and red states are becoming an angry shade of purple. Even on this board, most of us don't really know, nor do we care as to which political party others are loyal. There are a few, but they seem to be the exception.

This event is about people. Fellow Americans. Who cares if a democrat orders a republican to save a democrat from a rooftop. . . or whether a democrat plucks a republican from flood waters. The entire point is moot. . . and borderline rude.
