The toxic brew of chemicals and human waste in the New Orleans floodwaters will have to be pumped into the Mississippi River or Lake Pontchartrain, raising the specter of an environmental disaster on the heels of Hurricane Katrina, experts say.

Maybe they should just leave it in the streets of New Orleans until suitable treatment facilities can be constructed.


They can't........they must get the water out of the houses if they are to save them. The longer they sit in water, the greater the chance for irreversible damage.
