Well Slagle I have posted many times now about my mexican neighbor that goes to the casinos in tampa and casino boats all over and says that is his fun every weekend - that he likes going - and you can tell him all you want that it is just a tax on the mathematically challenged - he LIKES it - he WANTS to do it - and if it keeps him poor the rest of his life how do you propose to change what he likes and wants? I tried to get him to go to the library and read some books - but that is not FUN to him - so I completely disagree that the church should get to impose THIER WILL on this mexican. I know if you took away his gambling that he likes to do every weekend he would not be nearly as happy - he might be so unhappy he turned to doing criminal things to have fun - who knows? Why was it the preachers daughters always got in the most trouble? Why did a constant life of RULES turn them into such demonic little women? hehe They used to have a pool hall in my old ga city - it was a popular hang out for the air force boys at Moody AFB and the college kids - well the local first baptist church opened up some satellite church in the strip mall near it - waited a year - and then went to the county commission on some law that no establishment that serves alcohol can be within 1000 feet of the church - so the pool hall got shut down - that is dirty Slagle - I don't care how you slice it - that is crapola. The church leaders underhandedly moved in to deny the college folks and the AFB thier fun. They tried this also with a bowling alley that had a bar but I guess too many of the councilmen were in the bowling league - hehe. We just had the policeman arrest lots of dancing girls here in the clearwater area - I am not going to live somewhere that other people try to tell me what I can do with my eyeballs behind closed doors - no thanks. You want to be part of that bullshit, be my guest slave. I watched on the military channel how a long time ago they tried to shut down the whorehouses the army boys visited in vietnam - but the general soon found out he couldn't have a war and fighting men if he didn't let them have what they wanted. I don't gamble at casinos, I guess we all do in the stock market though, if I want to throw my money away at the casino or crooked wall street - what is any church to tell me what I can and cannot do and get laws passed in that regard? I don't know why you think imposing thier will is RIGHT if not popular - the mexican knows his odds of winning are very low and he makes himself poorer each weekend, I have told him many times - but he does not go because he cares about losing wealth to the rich or gaining wealth from the rich - he goes because he likes it. If MOO wants to spend the rest of his life looking for golden means and waves in charts and predict GOOG will be at 180 by years end - who am I to start a LAW that he cannot? so so silly - hehe.
