Listen, the Feds just can't come crashing in, there is a process involved. Like the idiot La. Gov. who didn't want to turn things over to the Feds as late as yesterday. Has she yet? What kind of a moron is she? And the 'they' starts at the local level. They f*cked up, BIG. The state's evacuation plan goes into effect when any slow moving Category 3, and all Category 4 & 5 hurricanes pose a direct threat to this area. Once the state plan goes into effect, everyone south of Interstate 10 will be ordered to evacuate. Remember, it usually takes four times longer to reach your destination during an evacuation.
