Nagin warned that Katrina's expected storm surge -- which could top 28 feet -- would likely topple those levies. He also told the people that were using the Superdome as a shelter to bring their own water and food. cnn.com Nagin said the city's shelters should be used as a last resort and said that people who use them should bring enough food, water and supplies to last for several days. He said that the Superdome, the city's main shelter, "is not going to be a very comfortable place at some point in time."
