You know it just dawned on me......the kind of hardass reaction the GOPers on this thread are having to Katrina is very typical of the attitudes of GOPers I experienced while growing up. You have said before that the change came with the neocons but frankly, its all that I've ever known. Its why I did not become a Republican when I graduated even though fiscally I am more in line with what the GOP claimed to be their spending habits.........although that's looking more and more like another urban myth. To me, this niggardly attitude esp. to the poor is very typical of Republicans. Do you disagree? ted
