Rita Cosby had the police chief on. Apparently 500 of 1700 his police force did not show up for work. He seemed like a great guy though, soldiering on in an impossible situation, and eventually taking control with help of National Guard.
Kerry voters are still out in force. Looting shooting. Some of his men apparently ran out of ammo returning fire. One of his men was shot in the had, but apparently he will survive. The police not lost a single officer. I kind of like one of the guys, a young guy right out of the police academy sticking with it, going through a trial by fire.
Apparently Kerry supporters looted the gun stores and are now better armed than some of the police.
Also some Democrats tried to take the police chief personally hostage. They wanted to take him hostage and hold him until somebody sends buses for them.
Then, Fox had the chief of the American Red Cross on. Kind of an attractive middle age woman. She said the Red Cross was ready with some supplies, but the national guard did not let them enter the city. I gues the Democrats running around robbing and shooting at people was the reason.
Rumsfeld was on later, and he said that there will be some 60,000 armed troops in the area. Getting cotrols of these Democrats running wild is almost like another war.
I notice that every group of rescuers had to be accompanied by armed soldiers or police, with their guns drawn.
While the Democrat party is celebrating Katrina as a gift of God to them, I think they are celebrating too fast. I think one of the lessons or this is that the first order of government is to guarantee peace and security, and not to allow anarchy to take place. Which party is that of Law and Order, and which one is the party of Anarchists (and looters)?
