MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 7, 2005--FalconStor Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: FALC), a leading developer of network storage software solutions, today announced that the company's award-winning VirtualTape Library (VTL) software has successfully completed interoperability testing with VERITAS NetBackup software, now from Symantec. The certification ensures customers will gain added benefit from the combined use of NetBackup software and FalconStor's VirtualTape Library software.

VERITAS NetBackup software, now from Symantec, redefines the boundaries between data backup, data recovery, and data management. In addition to centrally managing and rapidly recovering data, NetBackup software also enables the management and recovery of systems across heterogeneous UNIX, Windows and Linux environments. FalconStor's VirtualTape Library software consolidates the management of backup resources while enhancing the reliability of backup operations and accelerating the speed of recovery.
