Zebra, I had a conversation with a Morgan Keegan rep at my local Regions bank location today. Regarding their exposure to Louisiana Munis and more specifically what the 5% tax free St.Tammany Parish bond was selling for.

He said they have had more C.C's. this week than in the last 5 years. They underwrite 80% of the Munis in La. Basically he said it was in the hands of the insurers now.

My interest in St. Tammany bonds was due to the fact that I had him sell a 100k for me 3 weeks ago, got 103 and change, now they are not marketable.

My Irish blood came through for me.

It will be interesting to see the effect on the insurers and re-insurers. Could this be one of the lower cards in the house of cards.

Looking for ripples...

Dave.
