I don’t think you can make much sense out of XLF (Financial Sector ETF) when claims could exceed $100B and interest rates were higher today. But, then I remember that flooding probably isn’t covered by most homeowner’s insurance policies. Anyone who’s tried to make such a claim has been thoroughly disappointed. So, New Orleans residents may receive some relief from wind damage, but flooding? No way Jose!
