I say bring home 60,000 US troops now to help with Katrina, and give some of them some R+R to come in later and reinforce the exhausted ones. Then bring home another 60,000 next year. Leave 30,000 there as an emergency force in case the Iraq government is toppled by madmen. Iraq doesn't matter that much anymore. It was a stupid idea to begin with. Our presence there actually created thousands of terrorists. A total blunder, especially without the UN helping. Kerry was right. Dontinvade unless you're fully prepared and have most of the world with you. Unless it's self defense which it wasn't.
