Guys:
Where is this touted "deflation" 4 years and running on this thread: Lets see:

Natural gas up 70%
Gasoline up 70%
Food going up
Electricity going up
Medical Pricing and Insurance Going up
Interest rates going up
Cell phone & communication even
Entertainment stagnant to increasing
College tuition and education going up
Transportation costs (ie shipping etc) all higher . .

Oh wait I forgot electronics are going down . . Whoopee affects a whopping 5% or less of most peoples budget . . . .

Lets face it near term its inflation or stagflation. either way, the dollar buys less not more . . . The blah blah arguements about the deflationary aspects of the internet have greatly overestimated its productivity. . This ongoing debate reminds me of stopped watch. Eventually it has the right time, but you lose a lot in the interim. . .

That said, I am in a quandary as to how to profit from the existing and upcoming inflationary cycle . . . Any thoughts other then shorting the long bond which my mortgage effectively does . . . .
