Chas, I'm talking about the monies that were earmarked for the levees and the pumping systems repair, replacement, upkeep. What happened to that money? Why weren't the necessary repairs made long ago when this money was allocated for it?

Would it have stopped ALL the death and destruction? No. Would it have slowed down the river? I think it would have and I also think with the better pumps, this clean up wouldn't have taken so long.

Casinos pay millions on taxes, where's the money going? Tourist dollars? Where's the money going? The city of NO has a high crime rate, high poverty level. Where is all the money needed for these people going? I didn't say that corruption was stopping the people from getting help.

I know this is the worst natural disaster in history. I still have family that aren't accounted for. I work two blocks from the Astrodome and go over there every single damn day looking at the listings they have posted. I've got a long distance bill from hell calling all over the place trying to find people so please excuse the shit outta me for being just a little jaded and testy right now and not believing that the people in charge of the city and state did what they were suppose to do for the city and state. This was BEFORE the hurricane Chas, not after. What they hell were they doing before all this happened, and believe you me, they all knew it was going to happen some day.

I'm done here for a while I've got better things to do.
