some good info in yesterday's VLO presentation on what's been happening with gasoline markets, sweet/sour spreads, crack spreads, etc. since Katrina.

VLO expect sour supply to remain "ample", but problem is "logistics and refinery outages" (Russ Train Wreck). apparently a lot of the refinery capacity that got taken out was sour refining, so that just reduces the demand for sour and ramps the spread. they see light sweet demand continuing to be strong.
