You seem to assume that the condition of the economy as a result of the tax changes is secondary to the short term revenue collection. I totally disagree. The economic impact of the death tax is devastating on small family farms and businesses. This impacts employees in those businesses. It also causes sustained reductions in tax collections as a result of the economic harm.
