The gasoline demand drop was through Sept 2, before the Labor day weekend. As the price spike faded, the next demand data is for week ending the 9th, ought to give us a better picture. My bet is that Joe and Martha got their fresh loans, got back in their SUVies and went back down to the malls to buy Chinese goods. It will be interesting to see how patient the Europeans are with subsidizing this lifestyle too?
