These CC's are only the beginning of handouts. This is what the government does in floods - sends money. This is only the beginning. In the end, many people will be happy with the help received from Uncle Sam and others will whine for the remainder of their lives. I have seen it personally.

Soon, we will hear of the "midnight contractors" who fraudulently steal from those flooded out trying to rebuild. It won't be long and it will extend from Alabama to La.

IMO, any weaknesses in the administration of FEMA are insignificant compared to the absolute failure of the local and state government offices. It is amazing to me, given the repeated yearly threats of hurricanes in the Gulf, plus the recent disaster in Florida last year. And, we must not forget that the guy who caused the Florida hurricanes is still in office in Washington. ;-)
