Just answer the question.
You want the question answered.....is what you want Ray? Well, tough tittie......you had to be there. You had to watch as the people of MS struggled with nary a fed worker around to help. You had to watch as an MD drove down to Biloxi on Tuesday from Kansas, charged medical supplies on her American express, and started helping the sick and injured roughly a week before federal help was available. You had to watch as Canadian mounties saved people in flooded homes in Jefferson Parish because there were no American national guard to do the job. You had to watch as reporters fed people who were dying, gave them water, helping them out of their homes instead of doing their job which was to report the news because there was no one else there to do that job. You had to watch in the chaos that was Gulfport, the day after Katrina left, as a man, trying to find his wife, stood crying in the middle of the street with a reporter who also was crying......the reporter doing everything she could to help him because there was no FEMA worker there to help. You had to watch as people stood on rooftops begging to be rescued four days after Katrina had done her worse and there were not nearly enough helicopters to save everyone because some aircraft carrier with helicopters was still off the coast of FLA. You had to watch people fucking die because your president was strumming a guitar at a fundraiser in San Diego and not watching the ship that he was commanded to watch as it floundered badly.
I could give you a hundred, no a thousand more reasons but I don't think you're man enough, no scratch that........human enough to be able to absorb what they mean.
The feds are supposed to be into the disaster the day after a disaster strikes, setting up as quickly as possible. I know that because I worked disaster relief and I know about that operation more than anyone else on this thread and that includes your fat partisan ass as well. The locals are never expected to do much because key local people may be dead from the disaster or unable to get to disaster centers. Therefore, its expected that the feds will lead the recovery effort. That's why the states of the Gulf were declared to be in states of emergency BEFORE the hurricane struck so the fed. officials could go in right away without waiting for necessary state approvals.......after all we are a Republic.
In other words, your president failed his country miserably as he has in Iraq and in so many areas of his job. And for that he should be impeached but because his comrades control Congress, the decent thing.......the right thing.......will not happen........not yet. But the anger in this country is growing and should it explode, then impeachment will not be out of the question because fortunately for the country, his congressional comrades are weak and do not want to lose their jobs.
This is a said day for America in a very sad year. This country is in trouble and you continue to fiddle your fiddle and spin your spin. And no one.......not one single soul including you is buying it........not anymore. |
