Brown Co? They only update balance at the end of a day( at about 11:00 pm). You don't know what is your balance intraday. Hard to find stocks to short. Speed is good, but not as good as IB. If you don't navigate for a while you will find youself out of your account and have to re-login when you need to make a trade. If you make an after hour trade buying stocks up a lot after hour, the next day you will find your account being cut a lot, because they mark your portfolio to previous day's closing price.
