In the first place, I don't care if Delay is not a Christian, it makes me feel better about him. But if he's corrupt, I don't like it. I believe Bill Clinton was highly corrupt too, and deserved to be impeached simply for shatting on truthful citizens who told on him. Show me evidence that something wrong has happened, and I'll damn that wrong, and so will society and courts, by and large (though Clinton was damned by society, he still got off too easy IMHO).
You partisans, from either side of the traditional fence, tend to fail to recognize the corruption in your own party, and how much of that corruption goes unpunished on a day to day basis. Both sides defend by saying "our guy wasn't convicted, this is common everyday stuff." Yeah it is, and it's sickening, but ya'll have your bent to defend it. Screw ya all, eh? Got it?
I say "power to the people." I say that phrase means something. You want to pit two evils against one another, and choose one to believe in, I want to take the power away from both.
Your puffery in attacking Delay is ludicrous by common standards for both parties year in and year out.
I want to take the power back for the people, and I believe wholeheartedly that believing in the Democrat/liberal/socialist/communist/ version of "power to the people" is a crock of dung.
Give me good libertarian rights. Liberal, that's what I am. Very much against the system. Very much against the status quo which both parties shine for show year in and year out.
Hence, I recognize that the post I'm responding to is nothing but a bunch of allegations, politically motivated and of wholly uncertainly levels of veracity to the point where I can truly say that Clinton deserves life in prison every bit as soon as Delay (hell, Clinton's gotten an undue reprieve which may never end.) I can see the problem with both parties. You are a true believer still. I hope you can change someday.
