i hope this country does something to recognize all the those who helped in these rescues..

With all the bitching and blaming we have heard, "Thanks, rescuers" has been notably absent. These were law enforcement and military personnel who often performed rescues at great risk and without regard for their own safety.

I do have to say that in watching the coverage of victims coming to Otis airfield, every one of them thanked their rescuers as well as those welcoming them at arrival.

The Liberal critics in their comfy armchairs have been so busy pinning blame and so anxious to make political hay out of a natural disaster, they have not taken a moment to express any gratitude or admiration for all those men and women who have been working around the clock saving lives.

So what else is new.
