That is just false. We can't go on until you realize that even the Mayor had the proper power and resources to bus people out, or to save the busses for later use, in the event that what happened, happened. If you won't realize that the Governor had the proper power and the absolute authority to bring in thousands of Louisiana Guardsmen, plus all the 30,000 including those from neighboring states who eventually have made it in to help, then you aren't acknowledging reality here, and we can't go on.

No, I blame Bush consistently, because I see he could have done better, and this is not what an apologist does. I blame the others, because there is ample evidence that not only did they fail in their appointed roles big time, but by god state and local not only have been delegated the control, they by god SHOULD be the ones making the calls, by and large (their errors here making this situation a possible exception wherein a bright attentive President might have taken the opportunity to save the day).
