David, I heard you made a post earlier to John Fowler that said "FEMA did a great job."

You're kidding, right?

RE: "Then why are people bitching about FEMA purportedly not providing supplies?"

The people dieing from starvation should have been your first clue that FEMA didn't supply water and food.

Supplying 1 gallon of water to a city is ineffective - he should have supplied food and water before more than a week went by, like Walmart did or like the Red Cross did in other foreign country relief disasters.

David, get out of the way of creating solutions and end your politics for one minute, and admit the guy screwed up. So that something much better can be created. At a minimum, do it for your those whose lives you would like to see live if there was a disaster in your area.

You are the only soul on earth that thinks FEMA did a "great job". You truly must be a liberal pretending to be a conservative, because egven the conservatives aren't as bad as that. They are calling for his head too. Even Fox news is calling for his head - there are just somethings (like disasters) that need to be treated way above politics. They don't want their loved ones to be at such risk in a disaster. You truly define "being political" when you said FEMA did a great job, if you did indeed say that.

You should expect no less than what corporations do when they hire - they seek out someone with appropriate credentials and proven experience, and if the person botches the job, they lose their job. When hiring the head of FEMA, the next person should be qualified with relief experience. I want someone from the Red Cross with experience and with the contact names. Brown didn't even know who to connect with in the emergency, even though FEMA is mandated to do so.

Certainly, for something as important as this, you should put politics aside.

This issue isn't about conservatives or liberals, as you try to make it be, it's about an incompetant FEMA leader that needs to be fired and replaced with someone with appropriate experience.

Even Walmart did a better job than FEMA.

Regards,
Amy J
