True enough. Clinton had a lot of missed opportunities, but I remember reading about how Bush kept the status quo wrt Bin Laden until after 9/11. Who would have guessed that a culture would arise in the late 20th, early 21st century that loves death more than we love life? Hard to predict or protect against that.
