Levees would have been nice, but even if fully funded during Bush time, there was nothing planned for them, like say building to cat 5, which would have prevented this flood. Alternative energy projects funded by government will likely prove most often to be an incredible waste of the public resources, returning little or nothing of value for the money, and duplicate private efforts too often to no good end.

You are indignant about letting the poor get jobs at a wage employers are willing to pay them. You want to judge, and control the pay. Let them work, ok? Quit being so concerned with corporations which already work, they'll put the poor to work like good litle injuns, if you butt-out and let them.
