I'm trying to confirm something like this actually happened. It may be a myth that grew up around the disaster.

This is a comment I found on the paper:
"The Daily Mail is a tabloid British newspaper it is in my opinion in
the
same trashcan as The Sun ( Daily page 3 topless girl), The Daily Star,
News of the World.
The tabloids alternative name is the "bonk papers." Bonking is the
Sun's
polite way of saying f****ng. Most of their journalist effort is spent
covering sexual proclivities of the rich and famous, cover of
footbal/soccer and horse racing.

Other newspapers are called broadsheets - The Times, Independent, The
Guardian - and are for the literate. Same as The Washington Post...

I would never read or believe anything that was written in the Daily
Mail.
Just my elitist opinion."
