i just finished freakonomics...i found it an interesting read, and yes, what passes for conventional wisdom (theoretical as opposed to practical economics) point of fact, i feel he challenged very few of my personal observations and practices as a businessperson.... but i can see how much of what he wrote would startle the bureaucrats and academics who have little or no experience with real markets ps.... nice thread, CR....good luck with it!
