"I think they might be starting to realize that competence trumps ideology." Just to spread a little of the blame, Congress has to approve all Bush's appointments. This isn't true of Brownie, because he was slid up into Allbaugh's position after FEMA was absorbed by Homeland Security, and he didn't have to be confirmed by Congress. I have no doubt that the GOP is rife with incompetence......after all, Tom Delay, the former cockroach exterminator, said today all the fat is out of the federal budget. The GOP is in serious trouble!
