Hi MM and All....I saw that this board was hitting the top posts, so had to see what was up. All I say, is just keep exploring, and find as many relatives as you can. It is where you will find any certificates, obits, letters LETTERS letters, (think that I think they are important?---YOU BET!)...etc.

So many times, people are too impatient, and want info RIGHT now...good info doesn't seem to work that way. I use Internet lots, BUT for clues, not particularly real info. Have been very successful contacting others that might have some info, and some do, and some don't. Pictures are another excellent source of info. Not only names, but the photographer, town, clothing worn to help date, and maybe even a name or date on the back....

I've been giving some programs in the last few years, and this year in particular. Spoke at two pretty well known museums earlier this spring, and from there, things have just mushroomed! In May, we only knew the names of the four children of one of my several-great aunts....I wondered where the kids were buried....The assistant curator and I have not located all four children, where they are buried, their children, MANY letters, documents, family stories, pictures, and all the etcs..... Plus several more cousins we knew nothing about.

Don't give up....The info is someplace...we just have to be smart enough to figure out who has it and where it is...<ggg>
