well if what i read the other day about the Current gasoline formulation in california, some percent of ethanol has been in its gasoline for several years. it replaced the mtbe that is used elsewhere in the gasoline in the usa. do you remember the shell answer man commercials about 20 years ago? i think this is an area best covered by the chevron answer man. he will know all about ethanol in california gasoline.
