Fred, thanks. that '..cede control of Java' is what I was refering to. I read it from yahoo.com. Java is definite a threat. It seems to start catching on everywhere. It's a very difficult to unseat the wintel. Give sunw a BIG credit. It's a good start. Didn't we see MSFT selling that dinky '?? window-ce' OS for hand-held devices and they want Java FREE, for the sake of "OPEN". Give me a break, MSFT. The Java-enabled applications will kill that. Uh,Uh, that is a NO,NO, from MSFT's CEOs standpoint. MSFT/INTC and the guys dependent on wintel platform for profit will tear off the 'J-section' in their dictionary. While it's not clear who will eventually win, it's kind of fun to see those guys running for their lives, instead of commanding, dictating everything.
