This is EXTREMELY important. "Under the rules established by KNMG and the Dutch courts, the patient's decision must be freely made, well-considered and persistent; there must be unbearable suffering; and the attending physician should consult with a colleague." One must admire such humanity. If there was some other life based on invisible cob webs...well...it would not matter. But there is not. So it DOES MATTER. It is wonderful that humans can choose to die with dignity. It is truly wonderful. Good for us.
