Blaming the lack of High Sulfur (Sour Crude) refining on environmentalists is completely false.

well, that's not exactly what i said. i was referring to the great favor environmentalists do by pushing for low-sulfur regulations throughout the world.


Only one of Chevron's refineries can handle sour crude, Pascagoula Mississippi.


unfortunately not all refiners had the foresight of Valero to acquire the remaining North American sour refineries while they were still cheap. the difference is apparent in their stock performance.
