I think you can write poetry too,
but are too much of a jokester to let it show.

i'm not hiding anything. i disclose more than
you'll ever read from most writers. sometimes
i'm not funny at all. sometimes i am... gotta
keep mice elf amused, no?

some writers write novels, some write poetry,
some of them write song lyrics, some write
user's manuals, some write software, some write
newspaper or magazine articles, some write
screenplays... they write to the masses...

that's not my job.

i write letters.

i write to one person at a time.
it's more personal.

but it takes a lot more writing
than a poem or a book. a lot of
real life unfolds through letters...
the joy and pain and all the emotions...
almost always more than you get
from a face to face conversation.

and letters are interactive. when
you get one it's an invitation to
be listened to... all you have to
do is reply.

this one is yours.

how's life treating you? do you find
that life always seems to treat you
the same way you treat it? i do.
funnie how that works, eh?

say "hola" to your sister for me.
i'm headed down her way in november
if she's in belize or panama. i'm
headed for guatemala - caribbean side.

i could use a ride from north to south
in belize on the way down and vice versa
on the way back. does she need her cat
moved between placencia and san pedro
in november? i'll do it for free. <g>

solon and choosie they sure can write
good chit man. you're not too shabby
yerself.

i love ya man.

gotta run... so many letters to write...
so little time.
