I feel a lot more comfortable not having analysts muddying up the water. The only result of their efforts is hype. Look at ASND. The analysts usually miss the bad news until companies rub their noses in it. Another great example is ESOL. I used to work in a research department and felt that the only people with less ability to forecast were in the weather business. The weather people have improved a lot with the development of satellites. Stock research is still where it was 40 years ago, relying primarily on straight line projections of the latest growth trend. The more analysts following a company, the more bogus the research. They just read each others stuff.

Having a growing company's price depend on the actual results instead of pie in the sky is a lot safer. SOS will eventually get hyped but right now, the price is somewhere between cheap and fair.
