It just seems all the political talking heads in their total an perfect ignorance of technology, systems and economics never got the purpose the US government as defined in the Constitution. For the long term defense of the country, investments in infrastructure have always led to a stronger and more prosperous nation. The interstate highways are just one of many examples. Investing in the rebuilding of New Orleans and the Gulf areas is or will be for the most part a massive infrastructure investment. America and all Americans will be more prosperous for it's undertaking. In addition the outlays will starve the federal budget. We now hear talk of delaying medicare drug benefits. What other done deals will we hear of.
