And I don't think you're being tongue in cheek. It is a bloody shame, isn't it?

You know in WW1 we didn't even HAVE our own planes--but we sure had the guts to fly em! It was Roy Brown from Canada who took down the greatest ace of them all--Manfred von Richthofen. I think the "Red Baron" was 8 ahead of Canada's Billy Bishop, who had 72.
