This year 2005 - is turning out to be the year of the worst case sceanario. -There's ANOTHER Hurricane headed for the Gulf of Mexico to shut down the Texas offshore wells that Katrina did not hit. I will speculate that there will be one MORE Hurricane after Rita in the GOM. -GW Bush + Republicans + Democrates wants to spend 200 Billion to re build everything, mostly in the most corrupt state in the US. Not Nigeria, but trying. They want to show they care, they really care a lot. -Housing Bubble will need to be killed by the Federal reserve. -US Airlines going bankrupt two at a time. -US auto companies cutting prices just to tread water. -Euro referendum damages credibility of the Euro, Italian proposes dual currency of Lira and Euro. -Now the German election splits right down the middle, leading to Grand Confusion or Coalition. All we need now is a volcanic eruption.... ******** It does sound like the German voters are getting more upset, and want some better directions. I expect this will lead to better leadership and better directions in a few months. Staying out of the Iraq war was a very good decision for Germany. Not openly condeming the Iraq war strongly is a good decsion for the CDU, since the it can be used to get various favors from the US, especially the Bush group, who need to buy friends, and will pay a very good price for it ;-).
