Martin Feldstein is one of those guys called "Vodoo Economists" by John Fowler.
He is a Harvard professor and the former leader of Reagan's "Vodoo Economist Team" and may well be the guy replacing Greenspan soon.

Call it what you will, most economists and politicians know damn well, that in a situation of over taxation and budget deficit hiking the taxes doesn't solve the problem.
Decreasing them does.

That is why Germany in spite of its leftist leadership doesn't try the tax hiking way out of the crisis.
That is why even those same people know that cutting taxes is the only solution ahead.

The key word to understanding such a situation is "over taxation", where the opinions between the political parties may differ a lot in their definition of the approximate level where this situation occurs.

I just don't give a hoot if you prefer calling it "Vodoo" or whatever your needs call for in your effort to ridicule what you don't understand or - what's worse - prefer to ignore while not matching your credo. Liberal logic in a nutshell!

It obviously is entirely up to you if preferring to disqualify yourself by ignoring facts accepted long ago by OECD and leading economists world wide as well as a majority of the US and even European politicians.

IMO you should look elsewhere for better ways and venues to promote your Vodoo socialistic view of the world (economy) and what makes that tick.

Believing is great, nothing wrong with that but it belongs in a church.
Possibly on "The Islands" right out there where you live.
