If there is risk in Canadian energy trusts, consider adding some of the US NG heavy trusts for diversity -

CRT
HGT
careful of the bid/ask spreads , sometimes wide.

and SJT (a bit more expensive)

These three have heavy NG near areas where they should get benefits from higher NG prices near the gulf area.

SJT is $46, www.mcdep.com sees $ 4.70 in distributions in next 12 months. - and that was mostly pre-Katrina.

These trusts don't have the risk of overpaying for a property that the Canadians have.
