I don't know of any US trusts with options. The Canadian based, US listed ERF has options, and I have been long the calls. I don't know if I owuld want to be selling calls.

Part of the issue with ERF is how much of the high US prices will show up in Canada, and how much of of the future gas production has been hedged.

If you read the latest NOAA discussion on RITA, it looks very much like a CAT 4. Path seems to shifting a little to the right, away from Corpus Cristi and now some possibility of between Galveston and the Texas - Lousiana border.

This greatly increases the upper limit on damage to energy infrastruture.

Important for risk / reward, the new path and the intensification decreases the chances of a "miss" with minimal effect on energy supplies.

The chances of a massive effect on energy supplies is also increasing. At that level of effect, any stock that is not oil and gas related maybe hit hard.

Best regards, energyplay
