Maher's been critical of Bush's BS since day one and knows damn well the war was waged on false pretenses. The fact that we're there now is a big complication, but like Vietnam, the sooner we get out the better. We are not doing ourselves one iota of good over there, just weakening our ability to defend ourselves. We need to draw down at least a third of the troops this year and bring them home. Then another third next year. The more and more. What is Bush doing sending more troops to Iraq from Texas during a huge hurricane disaster? He is out of touch with reality. Frankly, I think he and Cheney are insane.
