Dabbled a little in Gold, Oil. But mostly I use SP mini (ES) and NQ's. But I like to scale in and out, and SPY's give me more flexibility. Don't have the nerve to machine gun in and out of several ES contracts the way I do SPY's... -g. Profits on futures trading are, btw, taxed at a lower rate than short term profits on equities.
