North American Carbon Sink? Don't forget the one over the Amazon forest. The atmosphere is self regulating to a huge degree. "Nature" and other Science mags don't like to publish articles about these type of things. Doesn't help out their "chicken little" stories. We don't really know if the temperature trend is up or down for sure. We don't really know what is causing whatever it is doing. But we have an huge, well funded movement on the left that wants to shut down energy production. And claim it will stop whatever is happening. What the human race does is organize energy. And the more we organize it, the better and more efficient we become at it. All we can say for sure is that higher technology will help us adapt to whatever does happen.
