Snow, I just had a chance to read through these abstracts..it appears to me that the only thing conclusive is the obvious: of course HLA matched kids are going to do better! ..it appears to me that there's a flaw in that the n for CBT vs BMT and PBSCT is not enough imho, to give accurate comparison?... My experience with these kids is quite dated at this point..but I do remember that it was impossible(close anyway) to tell who'd survive and or develop life threatening GVHD..we were surprised much..in both directions.. Thanks..a population that I'm relieved not be exposed to anymore..when the child entered the BMT room, not knowing if he'd walk or be carried out in a stretcher to the morgue..waiting for those counts qday, dreading the fever and its etiology...............wondering if your scrub technique and its inadequacy caused it..... Elisabeth
