Shipments of Pentium(R) Wearable Computer Announced
by Xybernaut

FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Xybernaut Corporation (Nasdaq:XYBR), a pioneer
and leader in the wearable computer market, announced today that it has begun shipping
production units of the Xybernaut(R) l33P(TM), its newest model in the Mobile Assistant(TM)
series of wearable computers.

The Xybernaut(R) l33P(TM) has qualified for the Intel Inside label, and is the first wearable
computer to ship with the new 32 bit PCMCIA cardbus technology. The Xybernaut(R)
l33P(TM) comes standard with a 133 MHz Pentium(TM) processor, 32 MB of EDO RAM, a
1.4 GB hard drive, a full set of standard ports, a built-in pointing device, an Infrared Data
Acquisition (IrDA) port, integrated speech recognition software, and two Type II or one Type
III PCMCIA cardbus slots.

The Mobile Assistant(R) series of wearable computers are powered by lithium ion batteries
which deliver 4 to 8 hours of continuous service. Hot swap capabilities allow for extended
duty cycles. The miniature headmounted VGA display (HMD) presents information as if it were
being viewed on a 15`` monitor from 2 feet away.
